"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." Marcel Proust

I had the awesome opportunity last Saturday to attend the women's World Cup races in Aspen, Colorado.  This side trip was not in our original travel plans so I was totally unprepared equipment wise.  I ended up photographing the giant screen using my 50mm lens.  The results were completely serendipitous.  The only post-processing on this image was cropping.

Morphogenesis

This image is from a newly started series that I think I am going to title "In Sight.".  The series is an attempt to explore our minds and interiors through the use of in-camera multiple exposures.
I submitted this image to The Newspace Member's Show, to which it was accepted, under the title "Morphogenesis."  I may still change the title of this particular image to be more in line with the series as a whole by expanding the name to "Morphogenesis of the Mind."
I will be posting more images in this series shortly.

The Second Annual Holga Out-of-the-Box Show

I was honored to have two of my images juried into the 2nd Annual "Holga Out-of-the-Box" Show at the TCC Gallery in Longview, Texas.  The juror for the show was Michael Kenna, whose work I greatly admire.
The first image, pictured above, was accepted into the gallery.  The second image, Sunset at PIR/The Lone Spectator, was accepted into the on-line gallery.  I previously posted Sunset at PIR/The Lone Spectator on Feb. 7th, 2011 on this blog.
The show opens on October 4th at the TCC Gallery in Longview, Texas.

Rayko Plastic Camera Show

My friend Stuart made it to the Rayko Plastic Camera Show in San Francisco and took some photos of the show.  You can see my images (bottom left in both images.)  I wish I could have gone myself but it is not in the cards (or my budget) this year.  It looks like there are a lot of fantastic images.

Rayko Plastic Camera Show

The Rayko Plastic Camera Show in San Francisco is coming up on January 18th!  I had two images accepted this year.  I heard the opening last year was very well attended with over 400 people!
This image was shot this fall outside of Portland Oregon at a Cross Crusade Cyclocross Race.  We have had an unusually sunny fall and winter this year even though it is a La Nina weather pattern (which for us usually means more snow.)
The other image was posted in August and was titled "Sun Circle."  I feel very honored to have had my work chosen for this wonderful show.
